The Beginning

What started as a vision eventually became a movement.

For years, the idea behind 1LoveHTX was simple — create real opportunities for people from all walks of life to come together through music, community, outreach, and hope. Over time, that vision brought together a team of people passionate about making a difference in Houston and beyond.

In 2019, an opportunity to interview Brian Welch of Korn during a showing of Loud Krazy Love became a turning point that helped launch the mission into action.

Soon after, a partnership in outreach was formed with The Whosoevers, leading to the creation of “The WhosoeversHTX and 1LoveHTX.”

Since then, the journey has been incredible.

From skateparks and rehab centers to detention facilities, community spaces, and local venues, events across Houston and Galveston have created opportunities for people to experience encouragement, connection, faith, and support in a real way.

What makes 1LoveHTX special is the people behind it and the community that continues to grow around it. From local business owners to internationally known artists and public figures, every event brings together different stories, backgrounds, and experiences with one shared purpose — bringing hope to people who need it most.

We’ve seen lives impacted, friendships built, and a community continue to grow stronger year after year.

And we’re just getting started.

We set up in a bar on Easter Sunday to kick off 2022 with a gospel driven event. We paired up with secular rock bands and The Whosoevers brought the Gospel with a great response. Ryan Ries and Brian “HEAD” Welch were the main speakers. We produced multiple skatepark events, concert series with guest speakers like Austin Carlile, former lead singer from “Of Mice and Men and more.

The 1LoveHTX Podcast hosted by Daniel Salce and Joshua Duffy came into being miraculously! We began with a single episode, not knowing where it might go. By the end of 2022 we had reached 21 Countries and we are still going. 27+ Episodes later, we are still having RAW and UNSCRIPTED conversations about God. Clearing up confusion that may have been caused by religious beliefs or tragedies we all go through, or maybe just misunderstanding God’s deep love for us. We cover it all!

We are a well oiled machine in 2023 and still growing. Running our 1LoveHTX Podcast Show with a deep reach and 1000s of downloads, We released our youtube channel with all the video footage so our subscribers can see us and our special guests.

As a group, our heart is driven by the youth and young adults. We have plenty of older adults who support and attend our events. Our drive and focus will be for our youth and young adults. We believe this is our purpose and call.

We were honored to host the album release party for Lacey Sturm in partnership with Wildcatter Saloon.

The event brought together our partners, supporters, and members of the community for an unforgettable night filled with connection, encouragement, and incredible music. More than just a concert, it was an opportunity for people from all backgrounds to come together, build relationships, and experience the heart behind what 1LoveHTX is all about.
